Post subject: Authorize.net

New user... I have downloaded the trial and getting the hardware together to put it all together. I Have also been reading the forum and the FAQs and have not found the answer to this question:

In my current system I use Authorize.net for my payment gateway... will FirstSpot keep the user on the hotspot site during checkout (AIM), instead of sending them to authorize.net to enter their payment details then redirect back to the hotspot page to login? Or, do they stay and complete the payment in the system.

Next, are there multiple payment options for customers, Example:
Pay with:
Paypal - click here
Credit cards - click here
Google checkout - click here
???

Thanks!

For Authorize.net, the user (client) will be redirected to Authorize.net, and then back to FirstSpot. Some users actually find this more comfortable since they prefer to enter the credit card information in a well-known payment gateway web page. Note that FirstSpot assumes the client to login first before proceeding to the payment (otherwise, FirstSpot doesn't know which username has paid).

Currently, FirstSpot only supports one payment gateway at a time. One more thing for PayPal is that we support "PayPal Website Payments Pro Direct Payment" which can keep the user in the hotspot site like you describe above.

Thanks for the reply... that maybe a show stopper for us. All minor to major ecommerce solutions have incorporated the AIM method to keep the process seamless for the user. Seals are provided to show validity.
You have done PP and I'd guess Authorize.net won't be far behind.

I'll make sure to get the maintenance Smile

On another note... I came here from the UBNT forum... they really speak highly of your software. I an going to get the trial running and get some radios cut over.

Thanks again for the help!

So far, we haven't heard a lot of demand for authorize.net's AIM method.

We can do this for your case as a paid engagement. Please email us at firstspot@patronsoft.com to discuss.
