There is a thread on the UBNT forum regarding an authentication issue when using Ubiquity APs with Firstspot. We are about to purchase a license and are concerned as these are the radios we use.

In general, FirstSpot is pretty much compatible with all APs and other network devices in the market. FirstSpot is designed to the completely hardware neutral and it works purely in the TCP/IP level.
Regarding the link you mentioned in the UBNT forum, it is due to hardware setup problem unrelated to FirstSpot. Sometimes, there is a special "device" (maybe router, bridge, or some other devices that filter out the MAC address) between client and FirstSpot. Since MAC address must be unique in the world and FirstSpot relies on the client MAC to identify the devices, you need to use sniffer like Wireshark to double-check your network. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
