|
|
Hello support or powerusers,
One of the big advantages when deciding to use Firstspot was the possibility to receive log files of both users and sites visited.
Now I have enabled the RADIUS functionality to authenticate the users.
I can see users that are authenticated in the “status” page in the configuration manager but the “report” page gives me no data at all. Same thing with the e-mail report, it is empty (no records of usage).
Is this yet another unsuspected feature or have I done a configuration error?
We really need the reports to be able to trace the users.
Best regards
Johan Loberg

This is actually due to limitation of RADIUS protocol. RADIUS only allows AAA function and it has no standard way to query the log information.
But at least the URL Tracking log should in the FirstSpot machine. Did you try to view it under Configuration Manager? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Strange as I can get some log files about IP-addresses and time logged on from an old Cisco BBSM Guest access solution using RADIUS .... That information should be able to log here as well I suppose... But the BBSM is an appliance service that is end of support now and do not scale with the solution we have need of now.
I can generate reports of the most visited URL's in the report manager.
The url log in e-mail reports seems to work now
