Hello,

I have a customer who supplies WiFi to large apartment and condo complexes. They have some specific requirements for a captive portal, and I would like to know if FirstSpot can cover these options.

1. Authorize.net payment gateway integration

2. Username/password registration (and automatic sign-up)

3. Since these are apartment complexes, they would like to set it up so that when a user signs up and pays for Internet, up to 5 of their devices (computers, iPhones, tablets, TV's, etc.) can log in with that same user ID and get access to the WiFi.

4. Customizable pricing and length of time options (30 days, 90 days, 180 days)

5. Can a single FireSpot installation handle multiple sites? For instance if they want different pricing tiers for different buildings, or would it have to be a different instance of FirstSpot per site?

6. Do you have any Visio diagrams or similar that shows how FirstSpot fits into a network architecture?

Thank you for your interest in FirstSpot. To answer your questions:

1) Yes, FirstSpot supports Authorized.net

2) You can use our Self Sign-up feature, which can integrate with credit card module and supports automatic login after payment.

3) Yes, FirstSpot supports multiple logins (devices) per username. You can also limit the maximum devices per username

4) You can define different Shopping Cart items.

5,6) See for http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/topologies.html deployment topologies. It should be easier to use Scenario 1 if you cannot force the Internet connection to go through FirstSpot first. Note that FirstSpot needs to be in the outgoing path of the Internet as it acts as a gateway.
