i note that firstspot comes bundled with both apache and php.
When you have to update these because of vulnerabilities will it break firstspot?
For example, firstspot php defines safemode as off, where the default php install defines safemode as on. |

In general, we do not recommend changing PHP or Apache since we have not test it, though bug/security fixes should work fine with FirstSpot. Normally, we will update Apache/PHP when we update FirstSpot.
For the PHP safe_mode parameter you mention, our testing shows that it should work with FirstSpot. (Please note that you need to change the php.ini in FirstSpot\www\Apache) _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

We discover some problems with PHP Safe Mode with the Configuration Manager today. Sorry to say that but until we fix it, you probably have to turn off Safe Mode for the time being _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
