|
|
im running V7 on windows XP pro s3
I have the system setup as user/pass & scratch card.
users can register for a new account. they get 5minutes of access automatically.
however, when they go to pay in the cart i have paypal setup. the redirect page with the submit button to paypal. always times out and dosen't show the paypal login page etc.
heres the weird thing. it was working for a while, but paypal wasen't updating accounts with the info. But it has now stopped even getting to paypal.
the internet is working on the server computer.
also, if I create an account on the config manager then login with it on a client the internet works fine. |

What browser are you using the client side? Can you change browser and see whether the same issue persists?
Try to press F5 again after the error. Also, please use command nslookup (issued in the client side) to confirm whether the DNS is working correctly. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

I have tried in both Chrome 15 and IE 9
nslookup on client side:

I suspect this has to do with the fact that my exception free websites are not working because I see in the _official file that paypal is in there. (I have not edited it)
however, if I add my own in the config manager (they show up correctly in the other .txt file) i still cannot access them.
perhaps the official exception to paypal is not working? |

The official exception free website list should work. Also, PayPal should work well using the default FirstSpot setting, so please try to revert any change you make.
Also, please issue the above nslookup command in the client side and post the result here. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Your DNS looks okay.
For Exception Free Websites, you can:
1) make sure you didn't change AllowedHostsKeywords_official.txt and AllowedHostsIps_official.txt
2) delete all the setting under Configuration Manager -> Exception Free Websites
As for your problem, did you press F5 (refresh) after the redirect problem? Also, can you retest using IE9 with compatability button pressed? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

ok. so reinstalling firstspot seems to have solved the paypal redirection problem.
my next issue.
im selling 30 days of access, I can pay for it now on paypal, and it works. but it is updating their account to 30 days from now but the year is the year 2000. rather than 2011 and therefore the account is deemed expired.
my servers clock and date is correct but first spot seems to have the date wrong... |

my server is still not properly receiving the return message from paypal.
I am using no-ip.org to handle my dynamic IP at the moment, and have it setup in my creditcard controls. and have a Port forward setup on my router.
