Hello.
I would like to know if FirstSpot can be configured to allow as authentication a name and a email address, no password would be required.
Thanks. |

You can put the email address as FirstSpot username, and keep the existing password structure. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

thanks for your answer.
let me reiterate my question:
we want to use this solution to provide free access to internet for some visiting customers in a clothing store. we don't want to create users or make a user register, we just want to have him/her input as username his/her name and as password an email address. ofc it would be nice to if we could have a validation formula for the email format too.
thanks,
andrei. |

The closest thing is for you to use Anonymous Option (under Authentication Server) with EXTRA INFORMATION FIELDS (FOR ANONYMOUS OPTION) (under UI Customization). The flow will be like:
1) The end-users will fill in several information like email and his name
2) and he just needs to click the OK button to proceed to use the Internet
But if you want the end-user to reuse the username, the best way is still have user register using FirstSpot self sign-up feature. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
