|
|
Hi Alan,
I was trying to set the system so that new uses that signup for the free access plan are logged in when they submit their details and the new user is created.
My situation is that I redirect to a page after signup but because of the issue with the embedded youtube clip they are redirected again to the login page.
Is the system able to LOGIN the new use automaticly after the signup for is submitted. This would save a bit of time for the new user and make it look a little more professional.
I do not want them to be logged in automaticly on every visit but just once after the new user is added.
I have had a quick look and either I am missing the option to select or it does not exist. if the later then I will have to create the function myself I guess but if I have missed something I am happy to be guided.
many thanks.

Sorry, currently FirstSpot does not have "Automatic login after successful self sign-up" feature. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Hi Alan,
Would I be right in guessing that I just need to be able to call the Authenticate process after the new user is created.
If so I shall see what I can patch together.
If it has not been done for a good reason then I am happy to take advice, not knowing if it would create any security or technical glitches with the FS process,
I have no problem to make the changes once I know the idea will not create issues.
With the exception of the Field 10 useage. perhaps.
I think it is always best to ask hey.!.

Hi Alan,
I have had a quick go at doing the Autologin from the Signup screen it works without creating errors but the result is I get told that my session has reached its time limit.
Must be something I am doing wrong, of that I have no doubt !!
Are you able to offer any advice to assist me with this, it will save me needing to totaly understand the system.
Thanks

This is not so easy. Most likely we can only add it in the next major version. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Hi Alan,
I have managed to work the auto logon from the signup page now.
I found out what I was doing wrong and now it just presents a button to logon after the signup was successfull.
Had me worried there for a bit, you made it sound impossible.!
