Dear Sirs,
We started testing your software, it´s working fine and I can access the login webpage and log as a user, but I can´t browse thry any website at all. I am using a ADSL connection (Speedstream USB connection).
Thanks

Does your Speedstream works as a PPPoE client? If not, note the following:
1) We only support EnterNet PPPoE client at this moment. Refer to readme.rtf
2) You need to connect PPPoE first before starting FirstSpot
3) Once you start FirstSpot, try to test Internet connection first from the FirstSpot server (not the client) to confirm connection is working okay
4) Sometimes it is a bit tricky to setup EnterNet PPPoE with FirstSpot. You might want to insert a Router (which supports PPPoE client) between FirstSpot and ADSL modem. Like:
FirstSpot -> Router -> ADSL modem
If your Speedstream works as PPPoE client, make sure you select the USB connection as your Public Network Interface when you install FirstSpot. Please post your config.ini and ipconfig/all setting so that I can take a look at it. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

1) Yes, it works.
2) It's connected. It works flawlessly, I can browse without problems at the computer were Firstspot was installed.
3) It's ok, working fine.
4) The modem is a router too (Speedstream 5200) and, as I said, I can browse at the server machine.
When I try to browse at the client machines, I can't reach any website, even logger as a user (with credits) or trying to reach the free websites.
Thanks

From the SpeedStream documentation, it looks like it contains a PPPoE client.
Your problem is related to routing. The most likely source of the problem is the USB connection you are using. Sometimes the USB connection does not "mimic" a normal network adapter well, which will cause problem in the router.
Can you use Ethernet connection instead of USB connection to your SpeedStream Modem? Note that you need to re-install FirstSpot since you need to change the Public Network Interface.
Again, please post your config.ini and ipconfig/all setting if you still have difficulty. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

I am having similar problem with browsing web sites. I am using a dsl router connected with ethernet cable to my nic. Do I need additional router between the dsl modem and my lan adapter? |

The easiest way for your case:
FirstSpot -> Router (that supports PPPoE client) -> ADSL Modem _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
