i have a router, a server, and a 12 port switch, as well as 2-4 APs.
on the back of the router is a lan port can i plug the switch into that or do i have to plug the server running firstspot there first then the switch?...also how do you edit the php files so that you can show disclaimers as well as usage agreements and contract terms when the users sign up |

You can connect all APs and the private interface of the FirstSpot server to the switch to form the visitor network. Connect the public interface of the FirstSpot server to the LAN port of the router. And connect the WAN port of the router to the Internet will form this topology:
AP --- switch port ---
AP --- switch port -----(private int.) --- FirstSpot --- (public int.) --- router ---Internet
AP --- switch port ---
