I am testing out the trail version.
And I have not been able to see a difference in my downloads. I have tried all the global settings as well as user settings and I always see up around 1 meg of downloads speeds.
Any thoughs?

Couple of things to note:
1) When you say 1MB download speed, is this the value you get from the Microsoft IE "File Download" dialog? Is that really 1MB/s (that is really fast)?
[In general, one needs to test Bandwidth Throttling in a fast Internet site (preferably >100KB/s). Otherwise you wouldn't see the effect. ]
2) For value that is smaller than 20KBytes/s, FirstSpot will ignore it. In other words, the most you can throttling down to is 20KBytes/s.
3) When you change the Global Throttling value, please remember to restart FirstSpot _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
