I have a few questions for our evaluation:
1) What are the performance specifications of a FirstSpot server? Obviously, hardware and features deployed impact this, but what has been tested? hundreds of concurrent users? thousands?
2) Can one FirstSpot server support multiple IP subnets on the client side, and if so, can it support different splash pages (HTTP redirects) for each subnet? How many subnets can be configured? Do the subnets need to be directly connected to a NIC in the server, or can they be a L3 hop away?
3) What performance metrics can be obtained besides the built-in Windows metrics? Can they be accessed via SNMP?
Thanks! |

1) What are the numbers you're looking at? Feel free to email us (firstspot@patronsoft.com) to discuss further. We can recommend the optimal hardware & topology suitable for your case.
2) Yes, that' our scenario 3 listed in our product web page:
http://www.patronsoft.com/firstspot/topologies.html
You can have different splash screens for different subnets. We haven't put a limit on that.
3) SNMP is not supported in the current version. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Sorry, there is no plan for SNMP support at this moment. Actually, SNMP is more for hardware management and FirstSpot is really hardware neutral. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
