Post subject: Zero Configuration with FirstSpot v5

Hi, There is a way to gain access for users without make changes in the configuration of each client PC??

We use the FirstSpot standard (10.20.7.XXX), and some clients comes with computers configured to access networks with other range, for example 192.168.1.XXX manually configured (this is the most common case). All information, Gateway, DNS are different, and they don´t want to change anything.

Other case are clients with limited user accounts...

Thank´s por your help...

Your need to set the client PC to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically"

Thank´s,

I know the standard way to connect computers to our network,
but....

How can I give access to a client if the computer is blocked and Properties in the network card is disabled (restricted user)???

I think would be a great idea to add "Zero Configuration" or "Any IP" capabilities to your FirstSpot, because more people can connect without support, and they don´t need to make any changes in the computer to access the network.

Erik.
