impossible to delete a user

Hello,

I encounter a problem with several of my users.
I can't edit or delete them.
Internet explorer or mozilla freeze when I try to edit them. When I delete one of my problematic users, the user reappears immediately (without any error message).

Do you know any command to reinitialize the data base?

Are you using the default dbf datasource? Have you opened it with other tools (which may corrupt the index)?
