Post subject: MAC addresses in database

Specifically, in the fsusr table there's a field called "signupmac", there are other fields that have a mac address in them, but this is the one i'm going to focus on.

Note: i'm using SQL Server as my backend database.

Now, in the field the mac address contains a number. Would you let me know how I convert this to the hexidecimal?

Thanks,

Regards,

You can either:

1) use our PHP function make_mac_name (found in common_functions.php)

or

2) do it manually. Refer to http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2675 for a guideline. Note that this post is about converting the hex MAC to number. You need to do it in reverse.
