Hello alan,
We are trying to make some changes and we need your help/directions.
We want to use username/password authentication. This way we will keep a record of users on site.
Once he sign up/logged in he is redirected to cart. In this cart we want to remove buy plan option and put redirect link to our shop. In our shop he will buy a scratch code.
*******************************
Task to achieve:
Under this redirect link we want a user be able to enter a purchased scratch code.
Once he enters it, all setting associated with this scratch code should be applied to a user. (the main option i'm looking for are max download and max upload data transfer)
******************************
Is it possible to modify scratch method using php/html?
What files are involved in this process? |

So you want username/password and scratch code mode to co-exist? Maybe you can try the new v7 beta 1 at http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/v7beta.html ? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

In that case, please try the new v7. In v7, username/password and scratch code work along side together, so it should work. Keep in mind that as this is a new feature, so the flow may not work exactly as you expected. Nevertheless, we are more than happy to modify according to your wish. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

We might consider using user defined payment gateway.
Questions:
In which file are stored new item attributes of a plan of shopping cart? (legacy plans are in fsplans.dbf)
After purchasing a plan, its attributes are applied to user's profile in fsusr.dbf, right?
If yes then how the system reverts to a previous user's plan such as free daily plan which is reset at midnight?
I'm not the one who will be programming. I'm just gathering information.
Would you have some time this week so we can discuss a possibility of customization for us? |

Note that you only need to use User Defined Payment Gateway if you plan to use payment gateways that are not supported in FirstSpot (e.g. PayPal, WorldPay, Authorize.Net, Google Checkout)
1) The new v7 Shopping Cart items are stored in [cart] section config.ini file. In the new v7, Plan is not used for the credit card/PayPal purchase process (except for legacy compatibility purpose).
2) Note that resetting user attribute has nothing to do with our Shopping Cart (which is only for credit card/PayPal payment). To reset user attribute daily, the simplest way is to simply run FirstSpot API daily using Windows Task Scheduler. Refer to chapter 10 of firstspot_guide.pdf for more information.
It will be helpful if you can describe what you try to achieve so that we can recommend how you can setup FirstSpot accordingly. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
