We are evaluating FirstSpot for our campus wireless guest network. We are planning to use the anonymous option with shared secret for access to the network. Additionally we would like to have a password that changes daily that the receptionist could provide to visitors. Is it possible to change the shared secret programmatically and if so can you let me know how we would get at it? |

Yes. You need to use SQL to change field "secret" in ODBC table "fssecret". Please check out chapter 5 of firstspot_guide.pdf for the table definition.
Also, please refer to http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1514 for a guideline to manipulate the default dbf datasource. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
