wich default account user on 1st install are configured correctly so that whan i set up the "plan", "shopping cart", "free" and "self sign up form", and "credit card- paypal standard mode". i will log in with each default user and test differant senarios so that i know how to configure daily self sign up, of monthly self sign up, and free access first time firstspot wifi user gets 30 min free 1st time only. so that when any of these default users have expired they have to go to shopping cart, pay for either dailey, or monthly subscription. firstspot.org wifi server will request paypal form from either sandboxpaypal.com, or paypal.com and ask default user to submitt payment to paypal, if the default user, decides to complete transactiom, or decline paypal, the default user should not be able to log in and get unllimited subscription. this is what i would like to test, cause so far i found a lot of holes in the configuration setup, users can by pass paying once they create an account in self sign up mode, and just login with the original credentials submitted then they have unlimted access without paying @ paypal. this is driving me nuts. |

First, make sure you check out the article at http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2765 . There are examples that help you to configure Shopping Carts.
Couple of the point to note:
1) The key is that you need to initialize the Self Sign-up user correctly. For the item that you want use to "purchase" through Shopping Cart items, make sure you don't initialize the user with null as this would mean "unlimited". Again the above article has a simple example at the end.
2) Make sure you can see the file txn.log. The can ensure that your firewall is configured correctly. See http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2058 for more information. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

FYI PAYPAL SANDBOX DOES NOT SEND CONFIRMATION BACK TO FIRSTSPOT.ORG SERVER I JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE WITH PAYPAL DEVELPOERS @ TECH SUPPORT, AND THEY SAID SANDBOX WILL NOT SEND CONFIMATION BACK ON COMPLETED TRANSACTIONS. SO THATS WHEN I DID A LIVE, OR REAL TRANSACTION FROM PAYPAL.COM THE txn.log
FILE, AND THE COMPLETED TRANSACTION WAS AVAILABLE WHEN THE USER WANTS TO CHECK ON COMPLETED TRANSACTIONS, IT SHOWED THAT THE TRANSACTION WAS COMPLTED IN HIS HISTORY ACCOUNT LOG. SO NOW I FIGURED THAT OUT. ALSO REFERING TO ARTICLE http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2765 'SHOPPING CART" DOES NOT SUPPORT "PLANS" V7? OK UNLESS LEGACY MODE? OK SO IS PLANS FOR FREE ACCESS "PLANS" TAB? AND SELF SIGN UP IS FOR "SHOPPING CART" TAB? OK I AM GOING TO MAKE A YOUTUBE VIDEO SHOWING WHAT I DO, SO YOU COULD SEE WHAT I AM DOING WRONG. MAYBE THIS CAN HELP AND YOU.
THANK YOU

In the current v7, you can define Shopping Cart items under the same tab directly. In other words, no need to rely on Plans any more.
Currently for Plan, it is used to initialize Self Sign-up and Free Access users with the correct user attributes. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
