Hello in the forum
We have been running with firstspot since the first version, but have run into a wall due to development.
We need all our regular users to log in where most have bind mac to divice after first login, and otherwise just they can log in as normal, as many have more devices.
Now comes our problem: all those who are not regular people, we have a review of visitors up small 3000 a year who have usually got a bulk account, but now you want something else, so we look at SMS Activation. We must still be able to use login, this is a purchase from higher authorities due to logging, but when a new user registers in self signup, the user must be able to get an activation code on SMS that must be entered for activation.
Is this possible?
Regards

Currently, SMS sign-up does not work with regular self sign-up together.
I assume you want some kind of verification after sign-up? You can check out the "Email verification for self sign-up" feature. Also, there is yet another login option call "Email Login" which let visitor login via email as username (after verification too). _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Hi there
Where can you find "Email verification for self sign-up"?
Unfortunately, we do not use email as a login either, and the actual email for signup is a bit moral as you sign up just to get internet But it can be an emergency. It would be a really great service if can do SMS verification for self sign-up it is also in our cisco system but there is so much else in cisco we can not use and therefore we have run with firstspot ... Is it something you working on whether it is in a new version or? Unfortunately, there has been so much security with 2 factor and GDPR that we are forced to resort to such an SMS solution
Regards

The option "Email verification for self sign-up" is under Authentication tab.
We can probably change the above Email verification to SMS. Please see whether the existing "Email verification for self sign-up" feature suits your flow.
Also, we rely on some kind of "SMS email gateway" to send out the SMS. Is that how you interface with SMS? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
