the client pc can not access the log in page therefore no internet. I tried connecting the client PC via cross over to the NIC and I also connected the NIC to a switch. I typed 10.20.7.1:5788 and it tells me that 192.168.5.100 (outside internet IP) is taking too long to respond |

Did FirstSpot work before? Try to go back to the previous setup/setting as much as possible.
From your symptoms, I suspect your client has another path for reaching from Internet/Public Network Interface (apart from through FirstSpot Visitor/Private Network Interface). Please double-check your network setup, and refer to http://patronsoft.com/firstspot/topologies.html for an example of FirstSpot network topology. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
