Hi i upgraded to the latest vermin about two months ago, and fully updated our server, the biggest issue that we were having with the older version was that the PayPal link was not activation the account when payment was made, we have now changed the server, the software, the router, and the connection is now super fast fibre, all ports are set correctly, but we still are not getting our PayPal activations after payment,
1 do you have a test so i can see if the ports are open correctly
2 what have i done wrong
3 as far as i am aware my isp does not block any ports
thanks |

Please check out the troubleshooting guide at http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2765
So did you install FirstSpot v8.1.107 or newer to resolve the Internet connection issue? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Hi the problem seems to be no FirstSpot\log\txn.log file exists
the ports are open and the external ip is correct i have contacted my ISP to see if they have the ports closed. |

Ok I now have confirmed all ports are open and my router is correctly configured with my isp
Over the week end I had several sign ups with the same result when you go to the account all that there is is a username and the clients password with other items changed ie no multi logins etc and the date for account to expire is alway 01-01-2000
What am I doing wrong I have never had this problem before |

If there is no txn.log file exists, you need to double-check:
1) Your router NAT setting. You need to perform explicit test from outside Internet to make sure the port 5789 is accessible.
2) Your PayPal setting. Make sure it can perform IPN.
3) Your FirstSpot Credit Card PayPal ID setting. Check the spelling and make sure it is case sensitive. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
