I tried your solution by creating a new install folder (4.0.7a). I copied all files from 4.0.7 to that folder and then copied the libeay32.dll file from 4.0.4 to the new folder.

As requested I deleted the partitions on the hard drive and started from scratch.

Installed Win XP Pro Ver 2002 SP2

Disabled Windows Update During Initial startup

Verified TCP/IP is working

Okay, I will reinstall XP and follow the steps you have outlined.

I have paid for First Spot. I just did not copy the licence to the most recent install.

The 4.0.4 install went without problems. Just follwed the procedure outlined in the install readme file. It just worked.

Same Error, I did the UnInstall and double checked both the "Services" and the entire hard disk for anything relating to Apache or FirstSpot and found nothing.

I did, install went fine. Reset all the info and received this error when I tried to start First Spot:

Fail to start Named BIND DNS Server
