Is that error from the error.log file under the Apache directory. Apart from that, do you experience any problem in FirstSpot? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

One of the possibilities is the Windows Update installed a firewall on the machine; please make sure ICF is not turned on when FirstSpot starts. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

hi there, thanks for your quick reply, but i'm sorry to tell, that there is no firwall installed.
its an Windows2000 Server machine, and there is no ICF for this OS, afaik.
do you have any other suggestions?
does it make sense to reinstall firstspot?
kind regards,

What specific updates / fixes have you installed? Can you remove them and retry? _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

did you ever occur troubbles with firstspot when doing a windows update?
i had to completely install the machine new, and now it is running, whith the latest windows updates.
do i have to fear that this may happen again when updating windows?
