Support for Authorize.net?

Besides WorldPay, will there be support for Authorize.net in version 3?

I second the Authorize.Net feature request. All of our billing goes through them and their API is pretty good too. I would be happy to send you the PHP to allow this drop down option. i.e. object/method for posting, getting return status, error trapping, etc.
Let me know. I was going to hack up your payment form but I decided to open up a Paypal account and direct deposit into merchant account. Problem is that the user gets the darn Paypal screen which sucks.

We are studying Authorize.Net right now. We understand that their API does not support recurred billing. Do you guys think that's a must? Please share with us your thoughts.

Agreed. But since only .5% of our customer base actually engage in a recurring scenario, it is not a priority for us. The majority of our transactions are for transient customers engaged in 15 minute sessions and we have priced accordingly. Currently, we have a .NET app sitting on a public PC that handles payments and posting to Auth.Net. (We batch several sessions to save money so if a user extends their session, we don't hit Auth.Net twice). We get an Auth only, then capture the final total.

This functionality/flexibility is nice. We removed our recurring option in May of last year and have not had 1 request for it. Perhaps different clientele.

So you use FirstSpot to manage your access point but have built your own payment module to use Authorize.net? If so, would you be willing to share the how to's as I would prefer to use Authorize.net over Paypal or worldpay especially because we already have AN account. (Would appreciate!)

But I do agree with Garry, do not think that the recurring feataure is a necessity. And if it was could you not build that into the app itself instead of depending on the payment gateway to do it for you? That is how most of the applications I have used in the past operate.

You will need to look at the PHP and hack it accordingly. Patronsoft has done a nice job making that pretty easy to customize.
