REPOST - NO RESPONSE FROM PATRONSOFT TO PRIOR POST!
Anyone using the same topology and are successful with the set up?
I am having difficulty setting up topology 3 on final release v3. I am using:
-Linksys WRV54G wireless broadband VPN router for the remote locations.
-Linksys RV082 VPN 8-port router for the central location (central location)
-Windows 2000 Server
-MSSQL 2000
I want to create a VPN tunnel between the central location and the remote location with two VPN devices. I don't know how to set it up.
I am not understanding how to set up the multiple network segment for the remote locations.
a) Do I use the remote IP address in place of the router IP or the IP address of the WRV54G?
b) What do I put for the Gateway address?
From the Linksys RV082 (central location VPN router):
a) Do I disable the DHCP?
b) Do I connect the internet directly to it?
From the FirstSpot server
a) Public NIC: Do I connect the internet directly to it or do I connect it from the Linksys RV082?
b) Private NIC: What do I connect it to?
-----------------
If a client from a remote location connects to WRV54G and routes it to FirstSpot (central) to authenticate and then back to the client device, does it do this?
a) client device===WRV54G (remote AP/VPN router)===internet (VPN)===RV082 (8-port VPN router)===FirstSpot/ODBC (central server) = // authenticate client user// = RV082 (8-port VPN router)===internet (VPN)===WRV54G (remote AP/VPN router)===client device
if so... how do I set it up? Thank you in advance. |
