Post subject: define dhcp scope when running multiple network segments

doing an eval here.....
working with a network with multiple sites.. .multiple network segments.
would like DHCP to be issued by the FirstSpot.
how do we define the scope of addresses to be issued?
or can we?

You don't need to. The DHCP address scope is automatically determined by your Multiple Network Segments settings.

...however, you may want to define a list of excluded IP addresses for your specific remote IP subnets. You wouldn't want FS assigning an address you use for management for your Vistitor nets.

dcgilpin, you can take advantage of the "Excluded IP Address" feature in our DHCP server. This feature will work with Multiple Network Segements.

thanks this information helps. Yes we have some addresses within those sub-nets that should not be assigned by FS DHCP.

i will exclude them..
