|
|
I would like to give my new user ten free minutes of access time upon signing up an account. I have successfully created plans and linked them to the shopping cart. However, when I assign a price of $0, it still takes them throught the whole PayPal process.
Is there a way to automatically assign new users with ten free minutes when they sign up a new account? |

Yes, set the initial air time under authentication server tab or refer to page 13 of firstspot_guide.pdf _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

Free airtime will be given to the user after they create an account (self sign-up). _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |

i am evaluating the application.
if I wish to offer free minutes with self-sign-up (I saw how to do this in a previous post) does the server register user mac addresses and lock out users trying to get more free minutes by creating another user account / password or will users be able to get frrebie time by creating new accounts all the time? |

I'm not going to risk it -- I just won't use that feature. I will give free airtime on a plan. For example, get 60 free minutes when you buy 4 hrs for $3.95. The plan line item in the cart would simply be 4 hrs + 60 free min for $3.95.
This way an account must by airtime before access is allowed. |

Amaddocks, check Yes to "Enforce restriction on self sign-up accounts" and put 0 minute in "Time elapsed before the same machine can signup again" will do. The above options are under the authentication tab in config. manager. _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
