Couple of comments:
1) Your topology should work. Keep in mind that if you setup your D-link AP as more than 1 network segment, you need to configure FirstSpot Multiple Network Segments setting accordingly.
2) You might want to put a NAT/router between FirstSpot and your ADSL Modem.
