Post subject: Randomly working

Hello,

I just downloaded the new trial of your software. Was very excited about it, but i am facing a problem.
I have tested it on 3 computers and i have differents result:
On the first one everything seems to work great.
On the second one, The authentication page does not always come up. Sometimes i need to refresh the "unable to display" page several times before it comes up (if it does at all). Once it comes up i enter the user and pass and the link works fine.
On the third computer, The login page never comes up. I manually type in http://10.20.7.1:5786 and the login page came up. I entered the username and the password, but the link won't work and i have a "403 Forbidden" page coming up, but i know the user and pass are ok. I have the MSN popup blocker uninstalled but it is the same issue.
I check the config of the network driver, There is nowhere displayed offloading or hardware checksum.
I have a belkin AP.

Any hints?

We put a lot of effort to make FirstSpot easy to setup. I hope I can say that setting up FirstSpot is as easy as installing Microsoft Office, but it isn't. In general, as FirstSpot is a server software that will be affected by your Windows existing networking setting, so we recommend users to setup FirstSpot in a clean Windows if they have difficulties.

Getting back to your problem,

For your 2nd computer, it looks like you are having routing problem. Check out http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2287#2287

For your 3rd computer, we don't support accessing http://10.20.7.1:5786 directly. You need to access a valid web site like yahoo.com. Your problem seem to be related to DNS. Is the client using FirstSpot DHCP server to obtain an IP?
