Post subject: Many users with the same username and password

hello,
we want to offer a free WiFi service for pubblic meeting or conference. We would like to know if it's possible to assign the same username and password to different users. We want to use IAS server ti authenticate users, but we want to share the same login information between many users. Is this possible?

Thank you very much,
Filippo

Multiple Login is only possible using "Shared Secret" in the upcoming v4. Note the "Shared Secret" does not work with RADIUS and it needs to be stored in the ODBC table.

We are working with trial FirstSpot and we have the following problems:
1. Redirect doesn't work if we disable NAT, reverse routing to the internal network is ok
2. we have some problem to autenthicate users using IAS Server, it looks like FirstSpot insert additional characters to login information

Thank you for your attention,
bye

1) make sure you add a return route in the router in the next hop

2) Not too sure since FirstSpot should work okay with IAS. Maybe you want to check out http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=753 for a sample DLL

Is the funtionality of many users with same username/password available now?

I read in your documentation that it is, if so on the demo how do I do this?

The Multiple Logins feature is only available in v4, which is currently in closed beta 1. We will send you an email for the instruction to download v4 beta 1.
