Post subject: Not redirecting after login

I have installed trial FirstSpot on my windows XP SP2 with all windows uptdate patches (at 9-dec-2005).

I have Routing service set up on manual, and it starts automatically when firstspot is started.
ICF/ICS service is disabled
Security Center is disabled
All other services are by default.
We can surf the net using the firstspot computer, with firstspot started and stopped.
ther's no error concerning RRAS service.
this is "normal", as I read in other threads.

My network topology is:

ADSL Modem-Router -- Intel Hub 10mbps /----- Office network (2PCs)
\----- FirstSpot -- Crossed Cable -- WinXP Notebook

ADSL Modem-router is NAT-Enabled and has builtin DHCP serving IPs (range 192.168.1.x) to my office computers and to the FirstSpot public interface.

FirstSpot is installed by default and serving IPs ranged at 10.20.7.x

I can login and sometimes visit some of the Exception sites (images.google.com and groups.google.com. www.google.com is unreachable). When its possible it goes extremely slow.

I try to visit any url (www.wanadoo.es) then firstspot asks for login,i'm using sample password. And it gets stuck on Please wait for redirecting. After a while, i receive a "Server Not found or DNS error".

I've tried every public-private combination possible using these pairs of ethernet adapters.
VIA Integrated ethernet adapter (mainboard mounted)
3com 3c905c-txm

3com 3c905c-txm
Realtek 9139

VIA
Realtek 8139

Realtek 9139
Realtek 9139

VIA & Realtek don't have any offloading options.
3com ethernet has and i disabled them.

with exact results described above.

I've tried FirstSpot trial 3.1.4 and 4.0.0 beta 1 (alan sent me the link) and it makes no difference.

It seems it should work but it doesn't.
Could you help me before I purchase the license?

Can you do a "nslookup apple.com" in your client PC? If there are no errors, you have a routing issue.

Please post the followings:
1) ipconfig/all of the FirstSpot machine
2) ipconfig/all of the client PC
3) the log file firstspot_gw_srv_[timestamp].log under FirstSpot\log subdirectory

I've solved it.
I installed a fresh & new Windows SP1 and it works correctly.
I think its a Windows update or service pack 2. I'll try to find which update is and I will post it here.

Problem solved. I have some others related to configuration.

But I must try it a bit more before asking.
