We are currently setting up a test FirstSpot server as well as a Dans Guardian server. The later is for content filtering.
My design is pretty straight forward.
Hot Spot----->FirstSpot------>DansGuardian----->Internet.
I can get FirstSpot working without DansGuardian and vice versa. I can not get the two to work together.
My main question is do I connect the two? Do I use a crossover cable to connect the two or do I need a switch?
Anyone have a config like this?

You setup should work with either a crossover cable or a switch.
Check the routing part. Do you turn off NAT within FirstSpot? Does you filtering have NAT also?
