Post subject: QoS Limitation & MAC-as-Username

I'm doing my last network testings under v4 beta 2, and "mostly" everything is OK.
My network is based (about 60%) VoIP Clients, logged using MAC-As-Username and passive login features. But, due to a b2 bug I can only use 1 passive&mac user.

As is commonly known, QoS is recommended for voip, but v4 has a small limitation of only 9 ports.

My voip provider sets up a range of about a hundred ports to be used.

So, if I try to QoS voip and web (80), I run out of ports just starting.

Is this QoS limitation going to be corrected on v4 final?

Is passive login bug solved?

when will final version be released?

1) What VoIP are you using? We need more technical information on that. BTW, we allow you to define Skype application type instead of just port numbers.

2) The Passive Login issue is resolved in the just released v4 beta 2a. Please download the trial again and retest.

I'm using PeopleCall as provider and the codec used is g729

It uses ports around 5060 for SIP messages and a huge range of ports avaliable (10000-40000), so i selected a range of about 100 ports, (10000-10100)

Thanks for beta 2a advice. Can i just unistall b2 and install b2a or is better to do a fresh&new install?

1) We need to evaluate your VOIP solution, both technically and market potential wise

2) The correct step should be to uninstall beta 2, and then reinstall beta 2a.
