Post subject: FSSendmail.exe Crashes

Alan,

We had a problem where the DHCP service was crashing. Today we've looked and the FSSendmail.exe is crashing out.

What log files do you need to see what the problem is?

Thanks,

G

What version of FirstSpot are you using? Can you post your trace.txt file under FirstSpot\dhcp directory?

Well, the DHCP log looks normal.

Do you have any reproducible case on the DHCP crash?

Also, what is the exact time that the crash happened (within the trace.txt timeframe)?

No.. the DHCP and the FSSendmail.exe crashes.. just user activity on the server itself.

We do not run any other software. Its currently on an XP Pro box however i was thinking of trying it on a WIndows 2003 Server box tommorow.

The box itself is very vanilla.

Hi Alan

We are having the same problem. The link that you suggested to microsoft is not a valid page- perhaps you can repost. Will an upgrade to 4.0.9 solve this problem? Also, once the upgrade is done, will the license file for 4.0.1 work for 4.0.9?

Thanks- looking forward to your response.

You should definitely try v4.0.9. And your license key will still work.
