DHCP Issue

Purchased FirstSpot over a week ago and for some unknown reason the DHCP server stopped this morning for some unknown reason. Lost several sales before I was alerted that people couldn't login to the system. Ideas on why and what steps can be taken to prevent it from happening again?

Network is fairly simple; a few APs with fixed addresses and FirstSpot handling the client's computers with DHCP. If you require additional info, please let me know.

Please post your trace.txt file under FirstSpot\dhcp directory for further analysis.

BTW, what version of FirstSpot are you using?

One thing to check is that did you include your AP's IP in FirstSpot DHCP Excluded IP list?

Set aside two full class C's in the DHCP excluded list.

I suggest you upgrade to the latest v4 update as we fixed several DHCP problems since 4.0.1.
