Post subject: User Groups

Our hotspot is based on differant types of monthly service plans.

Will your software allow us to offer differant Monthly accounts based on differant user groups.

Plan 1 - $25 monthly - 50MB daily data transfer - 64k x 64k speed

Plan 2 - $35 monthly - 125MB daily data transfer - 128k x 64k speed

Plan 3 - $45 monthly - 500MB daily data transfer - 256k x 128k speed

The plans we offer are all monthly based but with daily data and speed limits. Would the system log the use off when the daily limit is reached but then allow user access again the folowing day?

You can set the Data Transfer counter (use tool resetABW.exe) to reset the account daily to achieve your requirement.

One question though, you want the plan to be monthly "recurring" ? Or it is just a one-off "month-pass"?

We don't do automatic recurring plans right now but this feature might be a good one to have
We leave it up to the client to renew their service each month. Which brings up some oter questions.

1. Do users get an auto email when their time is getting close to expire?

2. Do the users have a area they can log into and check their use and change password

3. If the method you mention is used to reset the data count, does this mean that we would not be able to do reports long term to see what the total daily, weekly or monthly use would be?

1) No. But it is shouldn't be hard to customize the PHP page to do that

2) The current usage is showed in the InfoBox (the little popup Windows that is shown when login). There should be a button in the InfoBox to allow user to change password as well.

3) Daily reset does not interfere with the user logging. All the user session log information (e.g. login time, logout time, data transfer used) is recorded in the table fsusrlog when user logs out.
