|
|
I'm reviewing the specs for Scenario 3, Centralized Network Topology. The diagram shows a router between the FS server and the two network segments. Is this necessary? Is there any reason for it to be there or can I just connect the multiple segments to the FS server w/ a switch?
The diagram shows:
Segment 1: Client->AP->Switch->Router\
------------------------------------------------------->Router->FS->Internet
Segment 2: Client->AP->Switch->Router/
Couldn't I just do:
Segment 1: Client->AP->Switch->Router\
------------------------------------------------------->FS->Internet
Segment 2: Client->AP->Switch->Router/
Advice? Thanks! |

No, it is not a must.
This diagram is just one example of how Scenario 3 could work. The key point is that there will be one or more routers between the client PC and FirstSpot (contrast to Scenario 1, which there will be no routers between the client PC and FirstSpot) _________________ ~ Patronsoft Limited ~ |
