This is strange. Please try:

1) You might want to skip SQL Server too. Again, just Windows and SP and nothing else.

2) I still suggest you try use other card as Private Network Interface to test again. We do more testing on card with Intel, 3com, Marvell, Realtek or SiS chipset. At the minimum, please note that whether the error has at least changed to something else

3) Also, try to limit your machine to use one CPU only. Go to msconfig -> BOOT.INI -> Advanced Options -> set /NUMPROC=1, then restart FirstSpot

Ok, this is driving me insane. Not to mention I'm loosing money daily.

I have done everything that has been recommended. And the thing still blue screens within 15 mins.

I have emailed you the latest minidump.

Now, I did run the software on the Dell server with everything I needed. I hooked my monitoring station up to the private interface, and the public up to the switch. It ran smoothly for 24 hours. No problems. I was able to log in and out several times using the SQL database.

It only seems when I go live and everyone else logs in that I am experieincing problems.

Any more ideas?

So you are still using SQL database instead of default datasource, right?

Also, for point 3 above, you need to restart Windows (instead of just restart FirstSpot).

Please also email us your FirstSpot log files under FirstSpot\log directory. We will take a look at your dump file asap.

I tried it with both SQL and default.

I did restart Windows. The result was the dispatcherservice spiking the CPU to 100 percent, and blue screening.

From the fact that dispatcherservice is spiking to 100% and the crash only happens in real life environment (instead of testing), I suspect that there is an offending client PC (i.e. peer-to-peer/spyware/virus) that generates a lot of traffic. Try to use Ethereal to inspect the network. Also, set restricted_redirect=1 within config.ini (restart FirstSpot) to see whether the situation improves.

If FirstSpot crashes, again please email us the "current" log files under FirstSpot\log and the minidump.

Ok,

It's not blue screening, but the server is rebooting 20-30 minutes after starting the software.

I have emailed the logs to support.

I am not seeing anything ususual in ethereal.

Another issue.

When the computer is done rebooting, even though the services are stopped, the status page showes everyone logged in.

I cannot disconect users, the only way is to start services

Is there a minidump? Make sure you match timeframe of the crash to the right minidump file.

Also, your Status problem is normal after the crash. Just start FirstSpot and it will cleanup itself.

We are still not too sure.

Again, please force your computer to use one CPU only (use the boot.ini method specified above), at least as a test to see whether the error symptom changes.

If it still fails, please email us Windows Remote Desktop Connection access instruction. We need to take a look at your machine directly.

Also, have you set restricted_redirect=1 in the current install?

1) So have you removed the Norton Anti-virus? Any changes to the symptoms?

2) Again, try is to put another network card in your system as your Private Network Interface. We have scattered reports of problem regarding the Broadcom card. Use the chipset I suggested in the earlier thread.
