Post subject: Editing User Accounts

Our service was down for a few days and we were wondering about editing the users... I know we can go down the list through the web interface but...

If i were to open fsusr.dbf in a microsoft excel format and go down the list and add days to accounts would that work? That way I wouldnt have to do each one individually and save a couple of hours.

The best way is to execute SQL against the table fsusr. You can execute SQL from PHP or MSQRY32.EXE (available in Microsoft Office). The table fsusr definition is in chapter 5 of firstspot_guide.dbf.

Note that there are tools in the market that can change dbf (i.e. dbase) datasource. We encounter a lot of problems (like corrupting the index) with those tools in the past. So we strongly recommended against them.
