Dispatcher reach 100% CPU Usage most of time

I have v406 advance on a pentium 4 1.6ghz 512MB SDRAM with about 7 clients MAC+Passive Login 24h a day logged in 2 of them have almost no trafic (1MB/day or so).
line is a symetric wimax 4Mbit/4Mbit.
The rest are normal users who mostly uses some kind of p2p software.

I've noticed a few days ago that most of the time my cpu is at 100% by dispatcherservice.exe, but I don't know why.
I've had this working almost well all summer with no problems and more clients logged in and using network.

First I thougth it was because of Total DownLoad Speed because when that happened speed was over 1Mbit/sec. After a few days I discarded this: With lower speeds (~300Kbit) also happened.

After, I noticed that when Total UpLoad Speed was over 400Kbit/sec CPU reached 100%, and when UpLoad speed lowered CPU got 15-20%. CPU Usage graph was more adjusted to Upload Speed graph, so could be this.

Yesterday I discarded that also, because I Had a Upload of 70Kbit/sec and or DownLoading of about 100Kbit/sec and CPU waqs all time at 100%.

So I don't have any relation between speed and cpu usage to analize.

what can be?
What are the expected working users for that computer?

Maybe you have virus/spyware/peer-to-peer software from the client side. Try to pin down the offending client using tool like Ethereal.

Also, please set the parameter restricted_redirect=1 in config.ini (available in 4.0.5 or newer). This will decrease the amount of traffic going to dispatcherservice.exe and may alleviate your problem.

what this option (restricted_redirect) will do and how affect to traffic?

When restricted_redirect is on, FirstSpot will redirect the client PC to the login page only when it initially tries to access port 80 (http) or 443 (https). This will potentially decrease a lot of load to the dispatcherservice.exe (especially when there is peer-to-peer software in the Hotspot).

have you thinked about introducing this option on the configuration page?

1) This feature won't affect Passive Login. But it will affect normal username/password and "Use MAC as username". In other words, if the user initially accesses a web site with port other than 80 or 443, he won't be able to see the FirstSpot login page.

2) We will put this feature in the Configuration Manager UI and make it "official" in the future version.

Is the config setting for restricted_redirect on=0 and off=1? There is no note in the config file.
