Post subject: Using Linux Proxy Server

We can not get FS to work when connected to a Linux Proxy Server (Squid). Is there a configuration we need to be aware of? Here is our set up... Client --> FS PC --> Linux PC -->ISP Modem/Router. When we replace the Linux PC with a simple router we can connect multiple computers to the network with no problem but when we take the router out and replace it with the proxy server Linux box everything stops. It seems to be a routing problem but the only instructions I could find for using FS with a proxy were with Windows ISA Server.

Please check out http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1083 .

The key is to configure your Linux proxy server as Transparent Proxy. Note that you don't need to redirect all traffic to a ISP proxy if you have a "normal" Internet connection.
