Post subject: SLOW WHEN SURF INTERNET

Ok.. I have setup the advance edition FS v4 on my server. I have already purchase the license. Everything works fine. When I start the routing and remote access service, no problem also. I can browse the internet from the firstspot server before and after i turn on the firstspot service. I used the anonymous mode. When I try to connect to internet from client pc, there is a long time of delay like maybe 1-2 minutes before I can see the page. Sometime even show me page not found. When i refresh again for several times, then I will be able to see the page. But after I got the page, the rest of the links come from the same URL can be retrieve very fast. For example:

When the first time i browse for

http://www.abc.com

It is very slow and 50% of the time the page could not be loaded.

After a several tries, I manage to get into

http://www.abc.com/index.html

When I try to browse for the rest of the links,

http://www.abc.com/a.html
http://www.abc.com/b.html
http://www.abc.com/c.html
http://www.abc.com/d.html

all will be very very fast.

Can you please explain a method to minimize the time for first load? because this consider an unacceptable case for my client.

My current server configuration:

Windows 2003 EE R2 SP1
100Base NIC

Network configuration is

PC --- Access Points --- SWITCH --- FS Server(Private NIC)

I have tried:

PC --- SWITCH --- FS Server

The delay is still the same so there is nothing wrong for the access point.

Please advise

Please check the following:

1) Routing. See http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1191

2) DNS. Please use nslookup to double-check.
