Post subject: Quota Counter Problems

I'm having problems with the quota counter. This is what's happening:

PlanA: 1 Week of 4KBup/16KBdwn Unlimited Access
PlanB: 1 Month of 8KBup/16KBdwn 512MBup/2048MBdwn
PlanC: 1 Month of 16KBup/32KBdwn 1024MBup/5120MBdwn

Well, i got a user who bought the Plan A and racked up about 4GB down, then at the end of the week he then bought BOTH Plan B and Plan C. I look at his profile and it now tells me his account expires in 1 month, his speed is 16KBup/32KBdwn, his total quota is 1536MBup/7168MBdwn, and his used up quota is 4GBdwn. What is going on? how do I reset his used quota without resetting everyone elses? will he get 16/32 for the entire 7GB of dwn quota? and if buying one of these plans was a mistake and I get a call asking for a refund, how do I readjust his total allowed quota?

Please help,
Thanks
Jairus

Hi Jairus,

I am sorry that we don't support individual quota reset and readjustment in our current version of FirstSpot. However, this features will be improved in future release.

If you want to reset/readjust the quota in current version, you have to write your own sql statement to update the database directly.

Cheers,
Philip

OK, i understand that there will be an upgrade, are we talkin about within the major version, or version 5.0? And what of the way FS treats a multiple plan purchase does it just run at the highest speed, of the two, for the total quota,of the two, for the shortest time, between the two?

Hi Jairus,

For multiple plan purchase, Quota and Timeleft will be the sum of purchases; For Bandwidth Throttle, FirstSpot will overwrite the previous value.

Cheers,
Philip

so if I have a user who buys the following in order...

Plan A: 30 days of Standard Internet Service. (4KB/16KB Speed, 1GBup/3GbDwn Quota)

Plan B: 1 Hour High Speed Service. (64KB/256KB Speed, 32MBup/256MBdwn)

I would have a user who has 30 days and 1 Hour of usage time, 1056MBup/3328MBdwn quota, running at 64KBup/256KBdwn for the entire duration of the quota?
