cache server

we are running version 4.09 and was wondering what kind of topology would be needed to set up a cache server to be compatible with your networks. I did a search and came up with this thread http://patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=791&highlight=cache

is this still the topology i would use to set up a cache server for our network? is there anything that you can think of that I need to do which would be special to this network? we are using real IPs for our clients if that makes a difference.

Yes, we still have the same suggestion (i.e. transparent proxy).

Note that if you setup everything correctly, from FirstSpot point of view it does not even know there is a proxy/cache exist (FirstSpot just thinks it is talking to a normal router).
