A couple of Feature requests

1) Can the bandwidth usage in UserLog be in KB or MB, not both. It would save having to edit the exported userlog before importing into a spreadsheet for analysis and reporting.
2) Can the export of userlog be externally triggered?
3) Can the userlog be flushed/truncated at export time?
4) Can the users, in self-signup, not be created unless a valid payment has been received? Or a way to purge out users with 0 airtime remaining or 0 bytes or disabled accounts?
5) Can the Access Control section have more than 10 ip ranges, OR can you have Permitted ranges then Denied ranges, with Permitted ranges being evaluated first? The prospective firstspot servers will be living on a corporate 10.*.*.* network, and I don't want to allow access to my switches, routers, printers, and servers.. EXCEPT for one or two (Terminal Servers).
6) Status frame set to reload automatically at user selectable intervals.

Thank you for your valuable suggestions. Below are some feedback:

1) We will change that in the future version.

2) Sorry, but we don't have something like a command line program to trigger the Export process since most of logic is in PHP. As a workaround, you can use tool like curl to automate the process.

3) We need to think about this one. To clear the user log now, all you need to do is to overwrite the file fsusrlog.dbf in the datasource directory using the original one from the zip file.

4) No, since it does not exactly match the flow of FirstSpot. To purge users with 0 airtime (or other attributes), all you need to do is to write some simple SQL script (refer to http://www.patronsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1514 for guideline in dealing with the default datasource)

5) Are you using the "IP Block List" feature? Originally, we envision users to block the whole Intranet. So we set limit to pretty small (partly for performance reason). Is it possible for you to redesign the network a bit, so that some of your devices are not in the outgoing path of FirstSpot users?

6) We tried similar thing in the past with FirstSpot Status (the one on the left), but we discovered a bug in IE which causes memory leaks if the browser is opened for an extensive period of time. So we are a bit hesitate to do a auto-refresh in the web UI.

re: 5) yes, we are using the IP block feature to protect our internal servers from the hotspot users. Unfortunately, re-architecting the network/server space is not possible.

re: 6) Why not allow the admin user to select from a dropdown list whether they want the refresh.. ie "No Refresh", "1 Minute"

1) KB with decimal places is fine.. or even MB with decimal places. You guys pick which is easiest.
5) probably about 20 to successfully lock down the internal network
