Network Setup

I'm installaing a new network as follows:

1 x Central server
\/
1 x Central Switch
\/
10 x Poe Switches
\/
40 x Wireless Access Points
\/
\/
up to 200 potential clients

What suggestions do you have for the settings for the WAPs? should I let them recieve DHCP allocations from FirstSpot, or should I fix them (as what?) in order to make it a bit more stable?

Will FirstSpot / my Server cope with this much infrastructure?

Looking forward to your reply as I have at least 7 more venues lined up of a similar scale.

You mentioned WAPs, you mean WEP?

FirstSpot can handle your infrastructure with no problems.

Normally in hotspot context, you need to make client device to obtain IP from FirstSpot DHCP server since it is just too difficult for most end-users to configure it themselves. But if for any reason you can set the IP manually (e.g. fixed device), you can just put those IPs (that you plan to set manually) in the "Excluded IP" list within FirstSpot DHCP server.

When using wireless..
Would the bridge setting work better than using the AP as a router?
This would allow the controller to supply and monitor the clients correct?

Yes, the bridge setting allows FirstSpot to see the client's MAC. It is simpler and a bit more secure.
