throttle featrue not working

ok i bought the advanced version of the software , set a user to 100k and i can still download at 1.2 mb /sec whats wrong. thats the whole reason i paid for the advanced version , i cannot have my bandwidth sucked up by bearshare

Several points to note for Bandwidth Throttling:

i) You need to restart FirstSpot to have new Global Throttling setting to take into effect.

ii) Our unit is based on "KBytes" which is used in IE download windows. Many of network hardware (e.g. 100MBits/s Ethernet card) use "KBits" instead (1KByte/s = 8KBits/s).

iii) Bandwidth Throttling is the "maximum" bandwidth available for each client, so you might get lower bandwidth if your network or target application is busy

iv) You can only see the effect of Bandwidth Throttling if your destination is really fast. FirstSpot throttling will try to limit the bandwidth only if the traffic exceeds the throttling settings, so it is important you use a fast destination site to perform the test.

v) Please use NetMeter to test the actual bandwidth. To measure upload bandwidth throttling, install NetMeter in FirstSpot machine's Private Network Interface. To measure download bandwidth throttling, install NetMeter in the client side.
