Post subject: config MySQL

Okay, we have only a few 1000 users at this time, but we would like to use MySQL Now.

I have acquired MySQL 4.0.26 and ODBC driver as manual states.

Please explain to me how to configure. I have read Chapter 8 (PG42) as you have told everyone else to do, but I’m still unsure on how to make the tables. The instructions simply say make tables, I ask HOW do I make these tables?

One post was to simply copy the commands from the PDF to a text file, THEN WHAT?, I ask, what next?

Is there a default MySQL database template available? Can I buy a template from anyone here?

I’ve noticed most all the replies to the configuration of MySQL offer very simple answers, like “Read Ch8” or “copy to a text file”, I require a simple step by step walk through please.

Thanks for your time,

You need to run our "create table" SQL statement against your MySQL database. Check MySQL documentation on how to run SQL statement for your database.
