Post subject: Employee generated user accounts via script

After looking over this product, I am quite impressed with its features. I do have one function that I want to incorporate.

This hotspot would be installed in a coffee house. I would like to setup a 10 key type device tied to the computer. When the employee pushes the 1 key (for example), my script will see the keystroke. It will generate a random username/password and print it on an attached label printer. I then need to insert that username/password into firstspot with a 1 hour time limit. The user can then login with that login/pass. Once the interval expires, the account and the access will end.

I plan on writing the username/password script and all that stuff, since there will be no monitor/key/mouse tied to the system. Is there an easy way of adding the username/pass to Firstspot?

I don't really care for any of the payment systems or user administration. In this environment, these functions will never be used.

Thanks,

Dave

It is quite straightforward to generate user via script. In fact, we document the user table fields in details in chapter 5 of firstspot_guide.pdf. All you need is to write SQL script in insert row to the ODBC table fsusr.
