Can you describe in a bit more details? Is it an extracting problem or starting problem? How do you know that Apache is not starting correctly?

It is a problem in the take-off. The installation seemingly does it well.

The visor of events of Windows detects a problem in the take-off of the Apache.

Is it possible you setup remote access (using http://www.realvnc.com or Windows Remote Desktop Connection) so that we can take a look at your machine? Please send email to firstspot@patronsoft.com to discuss.

We are enabling the possibility in order that they could accede of remote form. The mistake of the visor of events of Windows is:

Origen del suceso: Apache Service
Categoría del suceso: Ninguno
Id. suceso: 3299
Fecha: 05/09/2007
Hora: 11:46:14
Usuario: No disponible
Equipo: WIFI
Descripción:
The Apache service named Apache.exe reported the following error:
>>> [Wed Sep 05 11:46:14 2007] [warn] pid file c:/archivos de programa/firstspot/www/apache/logs/httpd.pid overwritten -- Unclean shutdown of previous Apache run? <<<

Not if this clarifies something
Thank you

This error itself does not mean there is a problem. Again, please setup remote access for us ...

We are trying to look at your machine, but FirstSpot is not installed.

Can you install FirstSpot in that machine? Also, please uninstall your existing PHP first before installing FirstSpot (as FirstSpot will install its own PHP component).

This maybe a Apache problem.

Can you start Apache server service (using Windows Service console) manually as a test? If it fails, please post the EXACT ERROR MESSAGE. Also, make sure no old Apache or PHP is installed in your system before installing FirstSpot.

Can you setup remote access in this machine so that we can take a look again?

[Edited on Sep 11, 07]
The above error can happen in v5 beta 2 if the Network Connections name contains non-English character. If anyone encounter similar issue (i.e. Apache fails to start after install), please:
1) uninstall FirstSpot
2) rename your Network Connections name (both Private and Public Network Interface) to English characters only
3) install FirstSpot

We will fix this issue in the v5 final release.

Before you setup remote access, please also post:

1) httpd.conf
2) httpd-firstspot.conf
3) httpd-fsvhosts.conf

Seemingly the fiechero httpd-fsvhosts.conf not this one in the computer, because of it the Apache gives mistake on having started it.

So are the above 3 files there? Can you post the file content here?

Also, is it possible you setup remote access on this machine again?

Not this one none of three files.

We are going to try the remote access. The problem is that it is a line Adsl of the client and the access is not easy.
